Monmouthshire Acorn Project - Families First - Family support services
What we do
Provides parenting support to families with children aged 3-18 years living in Monmouthshire. There is evidence based parenting programmes, informal group support, drop-in support, workshops and tailored support to suit individual needs.
The service provides:
• Getting Ready for School courses
• Early Years Family Learning courses (in Monmouthshire Primary schools)
• Parenting programmes/courses
• Wellbeing courses
• You and Your Family support groups
• Workshops (sleep, communication, managing emotions, teenage brain)
Alongside some of the courses, there is a mobile childcare provision that supports parents/carers to access the services.
Who do we support
Families must be resident in Monmouthshire and have a child 3-18 with an identified need. Access to services made via a referral form either completed by a self-referral or a professional.

We accept self-referrals or referrals from professionals

Language: English medium setting with some bilingual elements
