The Family Liaison Officer Role is to support and help families living in Gwent who have a child or young person who is undergoing diagnosis or has a diagnosis of a disability or developmental difficulty.
we can provide help, support and signposting with matters such as:
• Liaising with health professionals
• Parent and family support groups
• Booklets and information on matters such as being a carer, anxiety, behaviour management or sleep issues
• Benefits and grants (Incl. charities that provide holidays, equipment etc.)
• Regular updates about new services and events in Gwent
• Sporting/leisure activities including Sparkle Leisure services for children who are undergoing or have a diagnosis of a disability and/or a developmental delay
• Possible referrals onto other services
There are Family Liaison Officers (FLOs) based at each of our children's centres, Serennu (South), Nevill Hall (North) and Caerphilly (West).
