What we do
Concerned about a child?
If you know a child who is at risk of abuse or is being abused, it’s very important that you let the council or the police know.
If the individual is in direct danger, call the Police immediately on 999. If not, telephone Social Services as soon as possible to share your concerns.
Children's Single Point of Access (SPOA) is the first point of contact for anyone wishing to make a new referral into Children’s Services, including partner agencies and members of the public.
Our Emergency Duty Team can be contacted by emailing Emergency.Hours@wrexham.gov.uk or on 0345 053 3116 during out of hours (before 8:30am and after 5pm Monday - Thursday, and before 8:30am and after 4:30pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays).

Anyone can contact to make a referral by phone on 01978 292039 or email SPOAchildren@wrexham.gov.uk, professionals are expected to complete the North Wales Referral form.
